Flickr Friday - Flying High Edition
A couple weeks ago, I head over to 128th Air Wing where they had an aircraft display in honor of Armed Forced Week. Here is a slideshow containing some of the photographs I took. And as always, you can head over to this set on Flickr where you can view full sized versions.
Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day everyone!
Taking Over the Internet One Domain at a Time
As many of my readers know, I've taken up amateur photography over the last few years. I have always had a presence on Flickr, and of course I post some of my work here occasionally. But within the last several months, I have decided to take things more seriously. I am printing and framing more of my work, and have begun to have some of my photography displayed locally. As part of that decision, I have also created a new domain where I am featuring the photography which I display and sell, so head on over and take a look. Besides the gallery section, there is also a blog where I will post information on any shows I have. I would also appreciate any feedback you may have.
Flickr Friday - Delayed Edition
A couple weeks ago I went out with the Cream City Flickr Group for a walk around some of the more run down areas of Walker's Point. You can see the entire photo set here, but you can also see a slide show of my favorites below:
Picture Picture Project
So what do you do when you have an old laptop, and plenty of time on your hands? If you're me, you tear apart the laptop and turn it into a custom WiFi digital picture frame. You can see all the pictures, and the details on how I did it in this post over at my other blog, The Coding Monkey.
Flickr Friday - Self Promotion Edition
Alright, so I really don't have any new photography of mine to show. However, if you are interested in seeing anything of mine on display, and you enjoy coffee, don't be afraid to head down to Starbucks on 76th St. in the Village of Wauwatosa. For the past two weeks, and for the remainder of the month, my photography will be on display there. So head on down, take a card, and enjoy some coffee.
Flickr Friday - Flashback Edition
These pictures were taken way back in 2001, with my very first digital camera... a Sony Mavica. It was a whopping 1 megapixel, with a floppy drive! Here I am climbing up Gibraltar, in the mountains above Santa Barbara. And yes, I am in fact wearing a do-rag. You can see the entire set on Flickr here.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Year in Review - Flickr Friday Edition
I know I haven't been good about getting my camera out in the last couple of months, but hopefully that will change in a little over a week when I head down to sunny Mexico. In the mean time, I've collected my favorite shots from the year, and added them all to this Flickr set. Here is a mosaic with all of them:

I hope all of your Christmas' were merry and bright, with lots of wonderful presents under the tree.
Flickr Friday - Freedom Edition
No, I'm not "back" yet... but I did want to share these pictures I took last weekend of the soon to be commissioned U.S.S. Freedom, which is currently docked at Veteran's Park. The entire set is here on Flickr, or you can see it in the slide show below.
You can learn more about the ship from it's commissioning site, and from this Wikipedia entry.
Flickr Friday - Here Fishy Fishy Fishy
Last weekend, as part of my 30th birthday extravaganza, Ally and I headed down to Chicago on the train to wander the streets, and go to the Shedd Aquarium. We had an awesome time... and as you might expect... I took my camera with me. Here are the results:
The pictures from the party later that night are classified.
Flickr Friday - Engagement Edition
In general I've always had a hard time photgraphing people... especially people I don't know. It always seems like an invasion of privacy... and I'm just not quite forward enough to ask sometimes. That's why I really enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a photoshoot for a recently engaged member of the Cream City Flickr group. Here are some of the results:

You can see the rest of the shoot in this Flickr set.
Harley Fail
I got on my own bike (the human powered kind) and went for a ride down to the lakefront to see some of the Harley's in daylight. Ally and I went down there last night before the Springsteen Concert and it was madness, but I thought really energizing. There's nothing quite like hearing the rumble of those engines with all the windows down. I also took my pocket camera down with me and took some pictures, which you can see on Flickr. The funniest of them I decided to turn into a Fail:

I'm surprised that they allowed him to park there frankly.
Flickr Fireworks
Last week was Tosa Night Out. There was no National Night Out (a waste of Federal tax dollars if I ever heard one), so instead the city decided to waste the community's tax dollars. At least I can get behind that. At the end of the night were some nice fireworks. Here's a slide show of what I happened to get:

Here are some shots from the last set I took out in California:

You can of course see the entire set on Flickr, and click on any picture for a larger version. Have a great weekend everyone!
