Monday Music - OCD Edition
As my followers on Twitter know, I know someone who listens to music through his headphones so loudly, that I can actually hear his music from several feet away. Now, some songs are just more distinctive than others, and one that I can always pick out, because of its guitar riff, is the Guns N' Roses classic, Sweet Child O' Mine. He listens to it at least once a day, and often times more than once a day. So here is the video for that song for your work week enjoyment.
And yes, he's listening to it right now as I type.

Happy Birthday Mom!
Today my mom turns 70 years old, though you would never guess it by looking at her. So in honor of her special day, I give you a special edition of Monday Music (on Friday) featuring one her favorites from Neil Diamond:
Happy Birthday Honey!

How Do You Describe a Blogger Like Elliot?
How do you catch a cloud and pin it down?
How do you find a word that means Elliot?
A flibbertijibbet! A will-o'-the wisp! A clown!
How do you describe a blogger like Elliot?
How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?

Bloodhound Gang...
This is in honor of the Tea Fire which is finally being contained in my home town of Santa Barbara. I was pretty stressed out all weekend as I found out that the news reports I was hearing on National News were all screwed up. They were so concerned with Oprah's house and Rob Lowe's house, that I thought the fire was going in one direction, when it was heading straight towards friends and family. As it turns out, several had to evacuate, but luckily most are doing OK now.
More than 210 people lost their homes in the Santa Barbara area... but you would hardly know it from the National News... as long as Oprah and Rob Lowe are safe. We have a screwed up idea of what's important in this country.
