@PunditNation (that's twitter speak) linked to this video from the Waukesha McCain rally that so many local bloggers went to. Interestingly enough, I saw some portions of this clip on the local news, but they left out the beginning part which is included here:
I got a big charge out of that first part of the video. That older gentleman was obviously very upset, and very concerned that we're heading in the direction of socialism. He's right to be concerned, because as I've been blogging about relentlessly, we are headed in that direction. What I find amazing is that he thinks it's simply limited to Barack Obama.
It's a good thing I was not at that rally, because I more than likely would not have been able to control myself, and would have likely been arrested. As soon as that other gentleman accused Obama of being socialist, I more than likely would have stood up and yelled at the top of my lungs, "McCain is a Socialist too!".
He has backed the nationalization of Freddie, Fanny, AIG, and the entire private mortgage industry. When the House initially voted down the bailout plan, McCain said that the Executive not only had the right, but the duty to ignore the will of the people and subvert Democracy by enacting the proposed legislation anyway. Of course, let's not forget that he has successfully restricted political speech, and wants to create a cap and trade market for emmissions that would greatly increase government control over private industry.
Don't kid yourselves... they're both Socialists.
