I'll be Storming the Bastille tonight at Bastille Days downtown. It was a symbolic act of rebellion for the French against the monarchy, and in many ways was a return gift by the fledging United States to the French people. The American Revolution in many ways sowed the seeds of revolution in France, and so its appropriate for us to celebrate it so soon after our own Independence Day.
Besides, where else is it socially acceptable to run down the streets drunk with a crowd of people in the middle of the night screaming and yelling?
