<< That Explains The Scream I Heard This Morning And When They Finally Came After You, It Was Too Late >>
The Honeymoon Is Over

Tough questions are finally being asked of Obama.  With a couple major primaries in Ohio and Texas today, we'll find out if these questions are coming too late or not.  What I find interesting of late is Rush Limbaugh's tactic of asking Texas Republicans to vote for Hillary

The idea apparently isn't that he wants Clinton to win, but that he thinks its most advantageous to the Republicans for Hillary to bloody Obama's nose as much as possible.  But is that true?  How much McCain news are you hearing right now?  If the Obama/Clinton wars continue all the way to the primary, with the Republican ticket already settled, then McCain will continue to be marginalized during this time.  Remember that he has very little money to spend until after the Republican Convention.  So he's depending on free advertising through the news until then.  But if the Democratic ticket remains unsettled, then there will be very little room in the news cycle for him.  Rush should consider these things before he sticks his nose where it probably doesn't belong.

Who is this McCain you speak of? Was he on the Democratic ticket in Wisconsin? I'm not sure I've heard anything aout him.

Is he some young upstart fellow? A maverick raring to lead us on his charger?

Or is he one of those marginal candidates like Gravel and Kucinich?

Maybe keeping his head down (by choice or not) while the Democrats fight it out is exactly what McCain ought to be doing.

By the time the Denver convention (bloodbath?) has come and gone, 72-year-old McCain might just seem all hot and fresh.

On the other hand, meh, I could be wrong.
