<< Four More Years! Unity Over What? >>
The Power of Change

I know a lot of people are attacking Obama's campaign slogans featuring change and empowerment, even though he doesn't provide many specifics.  People seem to be under the impression that if the empty shell is attacked enough, it will crumble as people realize that there are no specifics behind the slogans.  But keep this in mind:

"I many not know what tomorrow will bring, but I know I don't want more of yesterday."

If people hate the past enough, they will walk blindly into the future as long as it seems different.  Never underestimate the power in that idea.  Attacking "change for change sake" may not get you as far as you think.

Well said, Nick. I think Obama is tapping into a lot of frustration with the way government is run. You can tell it from the polls for the president and Congress approval ratings.

And all the candidates promises are empty shells at the moment. That's the way campigns go. It probably won't fill out until the national campaign starts after the conventions.
