Happy New Year

There is no better way to ring in a new year than with great friends, and having tons of great laughs.  So if last night is any indication, then this will be a great year.  For those of you who may be wondering what I'm resolving to do this year, you'll be disappointed.  The only resolution that I've ever truly kept is the one I made a couple years ago to stop making resolutions.

This isn't a cop out, or a joke, like giving up your belief in God for Lent.  I resolved to stop making resolutions, because after I thought about it, if there is something in your life that you know you need to change (thus the resolution), then there's really no point in waiting for the new year to start.  I resolved to change those things in my life as soon as I can, and not wait for artificial milestones to pop up.

Sometimes it's worked, and sometimes it hasn't.  But I still think it's the best way to change your life.  Change your life when you know you need to, and when you can... not on some day that happens to be on the calendar.  So to all of my readers, friends, and family, I wish you a happy, prosperous and joyous new year. The new year isn't about changing your life, but simply the unknown waiting to be explored.

Here's to happy adventures.
