Your Engineering Lesson for the Day

Never confuse accuracy and precision.  Although they may be related, they are not synonymous.

I'm about 6 foot tall is accurate, but not precise.  I'm 6 foot 4 and a half inches tall is precise, but not accurate.  I'm 6 foot, 2 and a quarter inches tall is both accurate and precise.

Likewise, airline schedules are precise to the minute, but they're not very accurate.  Never be more precise than you are confident in your accuracy, because precision implies accuracy.
