If this season keeps going this way for the Chiefs, I don't think I'll be able to stand it. Following the disaster that was the Jacksonville game, Kansas City came back and played a very impressive game against the Bengals and put up a solid win. It wasn't spectacular, but it was solid. Congratulations to Tony Gonzalez for his record number of touchdowns caught by a tight end in the NFL. Despite a first possession by the Bengals that scared the living daylights out of me, the Chiefs defense stood strong after that, and only allowed one third down conversion the entire game. The offense wasn't what it was a few years ago, but it certainly got the job done. The only thing that kept the Bengals in the game at all were stupid mistakes like LJ's fumble at the one yard line which cost us a touchdown, along with some stupid penalties.
Kansas City is now tied for first place, with a 500 record, and is traveling to Oakland next week for it's last game before the bye. So the Chief's cheerleaders, including Jenna, won't be on the field to give a needed boost, but they'll be there in spirit. Jenna is another first year recruit, and is majoring in elementary education. Those are going to be some lucky grade schoolers when she graduates. But for some reason, she too wants to meet Oprah. Can someone explain the phenomena to me? What is it about Oprah that cheerleaders adore so much? And why do I care?
