Sometimes it's hard to tell if Scrappleface is real or not:
As an ideologically-split U.S. Supreme Court reconvened on the first Monday in October, a spokesman for the National Archives reported that the U.S. Constitution has fled to an unnamed embassy to seek asylum, citing a long history of political persecution....An embassy source confirmed that the Constitution had "sought refuge from persecution by government officials in the U.S. ," but added, "unfortunately there is currently no country of refuge where it would be safer."
And that sums it up quite nicely doesn't it? We're still the most free and prosperous nation in the world despite the steps people have taken to diminish the freedoms guaranteed in that document. I'm not sure what that says about the world. Are all other countries that much less free than we think, or are the freedoms we've lost overblown? Frankly, I'd rather not find out by losing more. Of course, as long as the two major parties in power remain the Republicans and Democrats, we're sure to continue to lose them. Neither party respects the Constitution worth a damn.
