That's What I Get For Voting

So I'm reading over the jury summons I got today.  I know some people who have never been called, and yet here I'm looking at my 2nd one in 6 years.  What I find most amusing is the questionnaire that I am required to fill out and send back within 10 days:

  1. Are you a citizen of the United States?
  2. Do you live in Milwaukee County?
  3. Are you at least 18 years of age?
  4. Can you understand the English language?
  5. Have you reported for jury service in the past four years?
  6. If, because of a disability, do you need assistance to serve as a juror?
  7. Have you ever been convicted of a felony?
  8. What is your race?

Now aside from 4, 6 and 8, they ought to already know the answer to the rest of those questions.  And since the questionnaire is in English, if I don't understand English, they aren't going to get a response anyway.  Last time I was called, I not only served on a jury, but I was elected foreman.  This ought to be interesting.

Actually, if memory serves correctly, they are now pulling jury lists from those with driver's licenses, not the voter registry.
