It's official.  Cindy Sheehan is saying that she's going to challenge Nacy Pelosi for her Congressional seat.  Personally, I think this is fantastic.  First off, she's going to be challenging another Democrat, so even if she somehow wins, it's not going to change much.  Secondly, I really do think it will be good for Cindy to be faced with people outside of her rabid inner circle while running for office.  I think it will be good for her to hear the concerns of potential constituents who have issues besides the Iraq war.  Maybe I've overly optimistic, but hey... there are worse things to be accused of.

Though I do have to wonder... and this picture expresses it perfectly... if she realized that by running in 2008 that it will be too late to push for the impeachment of Bush if she were to win.  After all, that's the primary reason she's saying she's running against Pelosi.  Sheehan imposed a July 23rd deadline to start impeachment proceedings.  Does she realize that you can't impeach a President after they're already out of office?  Maybe she just intends to add a warning letter to his permanent file.  Who knows.

Either way... best of luck Cindy... and don't go easy on Nancy.  Bloody her nose as much as you want.  It can only make her face prettier.
