Ron Paul Out In The Wild!

Today while I was biking after work, I happened to see my very first presidential yard sign for the upcoming election:

Ron Paul for President

It was for Ron Paul!  Not Hillary, or Obama, or Romney, or Giuliani.... but Ron Paul!  Speaking of which, the New York Times had a very nice, rather long, profile of him the other day which is worth reading.

Does it mean anything that the very first sign I saw was for Paul?  Probably not... but its worth noting anyway.

Ya know, there are some things I really like about Ron Paul, but if he's going to interject the moonbat side, he's going to scare some folks. But even that tells me he's not putting on a front for the cameras. A good thing.

A lot of the moonbattery is not him. Many of the "controversies" are invented, based on people misstating what he said, or substituting questions people ask him, for what he actually said. They do this because a lot of anti-war groups have hung onto him because he is pretty anti-war. But he's not anti-war because he believes in strange conspiracy theories. He voted against both Iraq wars (I & II). He voted against going into Kosovo. The only one he supported was the war in Afghanistan... because that was self-defense.

Whether you agree with the policy or not, its based on sound reason, not moonbattery. For my part, his anti-war policy is one of the only ones that put me on the fence about him... but I just can't be a one issue voter two elections in a row.

Yes, Nick. It means that somewhere in Iowa there is a homeowner wondering what happened to his yard sign.
