Which state should I move to if this bill passes in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin residents would receive universal health care coverage through a plan paid for by workers and their employers starting in 2009, under a proposal state Senate Democrats will include in their version of the state budget....Assembly Speaker Mike Huebsch (R-West Salem) said the plan should be rejected because it would more than double state taxes."This would be without question the largest tax increase in the history of the state," he said. "That's not an experiment we can afford."Senate Republican Leader Scott Fitzgerald of Juneau derided the plan for imposing a "staggering" tax increase that would force small companies out of business.
Normally I'd think about moving to California because of my family there... but that's out of the question since that state is even worse than Wisconsin. As Fred points out, the state Senate has decided that such a huge policy change is so important, that only one day of debate and public comment is needed. For that monumental reason alone, every single Senate Democrat deserves to be recalled at this very moment. That is beyond arrogance.
So does anyone have any good thoughts? Does anyone know what New Hampshire is like?
