It happens every spring... I begin to start seeing Google hits from people wondering "Why male triathletes shave their legs". I've talked about this a few times before. I was out on a cold early spring ride today, and thought of another reason why some guys might choose to shave their legs.
On the top tube of the frame is where the rear brake cable runs from the front to the back. If your hairy masculine legs happen to bump against the cable when you brake, the cable can grab a hair and pull it out.
Yeah... it hurts.
But not as much as waxing them.
Update: There seems to be some confusion. I'm not going to be shaving (or waxing) my legs. I never do. My previous posts on the topic discuss the reasons for and against at some length, so I won't repeat them all here. But to be honest it really just boils down to one reason. I'm not a woman.
