It's one of the ugliest churches I've seen... ever.  I discount any of the "shop corner" churches you tend to see popping up in the inner city, because for the most part, they weren't built to be churches.  Central United Methodist Church on 25th and Wisconsin Ave. was actually built on purpose this way as a church.  Honestly.

What's worse, is they tore down an existing old church to build this one.  I tried in vain to find pictures of the old Wesley Methodist Church, which this replaced, but even the power of Google couldn't uncover one.

I tried to describe what this church looks like to a friend of mine, and was having a hard time.  All I could come up with was, "It looks like a big bomb shelter."  So I took my new camera over there today, and snapped some photos.  You can see them all in this Flickr set.
