The tracks are barely visible, though the snow has drifted over them. There under the powder is ice hard proof of where I have been before.I look out into the barren expanse of bright white, squinting to track that familiar path. From time to time the deep snow makes it hard to move, and the path disappears.Pressing onward is your only hope to find what you know is there to guide you.
But is it worth following where you've been before?Better to forge a new trail through deep snow,Or glide against hard ice with little doubt?
