That's Not Really a Fortune

I was going through my wallet recently, cleaning out old receipts I didn't need in order to prevent it from turning into a Costanzian mess, when I found a fortune I got at EE Sane last Friday:

When you're not afraid to do it wrong the first time, you'll eventually get it right.

While very wise, and very true, and a good maxim to live by... it doesn't make a prediction about my future.  Why is it that I never seem to get fortunes that tell me about my future any more?

The function of the aphorisms found in fortune cookies isn't
to predict the future. It is to be amusing when followed by
the words "in bed". I'd say it works.

Please tell me you didn't go anywhere above a 4 at EESane...otherwise, you're promptly reminded of it the next morning!
