Loud Pipes Can Save Lives

Those of you who read this blog often (both of you), know that I don't push causes very often, but this one is worth it.  I've known Chris since I was in grade school.  He's my brother-in-law's best friend, and in many ways has been like an older brother to me.  Three years ago he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  If you know anything about this particular kind of cancer, than you know that survival is rare.  Chris is one of the few who have survived, which knowing what a pain in the ass he can be, is not surprising.  And despite everything he has been through to beat it, and continues to do to keep it down, he's still and incredibly energetic and upbeat guy.

Chris and his wonderful wife Jen have founded the Ride for Hope in Camarillo California, which is a motorcycle rally with the goal of increasing funding and awareness of Pancreatic Cancer.  Please visit their website, and if you would, sponsor a rider.  You can read Chris's story here, and also Jen's story.  Funds will go to PanCAN, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Thanks for taking a moment.

My dad died of pancreatic cancer. I didn't know anyone ever
survived once they had been diagnosed. I'm seriously impressed!
And yes, I will be making a donation. :)
