Via Ann Althouse comes the next step in the nanny state:
A state senator from Brooklyn said on Tuesday he plans to introduce legislation that would ban people from using an MP3 player, cell phone, Blackberry or any other electronic device while crossing the street in either New York City or Buffalo.
Another amendment being considered to this bill is a ban on walking and chewing bubble gum at the same time. When asked about the added item to be banned, the Senator responded, "Multitasking is dangerous, and we need to protect the people from themselves."
