Snow Storm Stories

Silly me... I had forgotten that my client's office was closed for Martin Luther King day today.  Luckily even when they're officially closed, they still keep the building open.  So I still worked half a day so that I didn't feel completely stupid for trudging into the office through the snow.  You think that's dedication?  That's not nearly as dedicated as the woman I saw on Highland and 20th on my commute into work on her mountain bike, riding through the slush, while it was still snowing.

If you think that's good... on my way home, I was on State St. and at about 26th St, and I happened to look over at a gentleman shoveling the walk in front of his business with a street sign.  It looked to be about the size of a "No Parking" sign, and was still on the metal pole.  Whatever it takes I guess.

A few years back, my son used to commute from our place, by 27th and Vliet, up Lisbon to Menomenee Falls, via mountain bike, and that was back when we had real winters around here.
