Too Much To Splain... Lemme Sum Up

So Fred is talking about Universal Health Care in some depth... something I've discussed a number of times here.  I've talked about insurance is really just a lottery ticket, and how I don't care that health coverage is not fair, and more recently commented on the terrible idea they want to push through in California.  But just because it makes me feel good, I'm going to be real clear and concise on how I feel about the matter.

I have above average health insurance now, and above average access to health care.  I don't want to pay more, in order to receive less care, if the only benefit is that people I don't know get better care than they do now.  And when I have a family, I certainly don't want my family to suffer so that others don't have to.  I care more about people I love than people I don't know.

I don't want to suffer in order to raise the average.  There.  I said it.
