<< Yes It's Geeky, But It's Useful Too One Classy Carnival is Coming >>
Is The Good Implied?

Several times today I've encountered people who have said "Morning" or "Mornin" to me as a greeting.  What does that mean?  It's not really much of a friendly greeting.  Is it a question... like... "Is it morning?"  Is it a statement like "It is morning"?  If its the latter, then I could do without... because I'm well aware of the time, since I always wear a watch.

Did everyone go drinking on Sunday night instead of Saturday night, and so they're all hung over and can't contemplate how anyone could think it's a good morning?  Does everyone have a case of the Mondays?

When did it become too hard to say "Good morning"?
