I blogged about this story when it first occurred, and now Charlie Sykes has found out that an apology was actually issued to a woman who was "offended" by some police officers who were eating a banana during a civil rights march. It makes me wonder... would it have been offensive if they were eating a banana during a gay pride march? Or would that have been considered supportive?
