JSOnline is reporting that the cost of health insurance is still rising, but at it's slowest pace in recent years:
The cost of health insurance offered by employers rose on average by 7.7% nationally in 2006, the slowest rate of increase since 2000, according to a widely followed annual survey released Tuesday. The increase was down from 9.2% last year and marked the third straight year that the cost of health insurance has risen at a slower rate.
I'd think that by Journal logic, they would report that health insurance costs were dropping. After all, whenever a politician talks about cutting an increase (how's that for a turn of phrase) in, oh, let's say education spending, that smaller increase is usually touted as a "spending cut". I'm just trying to figure out when their rules apply.
