Heading Back Home

I'm winging my way back to the Midwest tomorrow.  As my sisters all bombarded me with the inevitable "why don't you move here" over and over again today, all I could think to say was "you heal me".  I needed this time, when all of us throw Schweitzer jabs at each other, and make each other laugh every single day, and where you're surrounded by unconditional love.

The only hard thing I had to do while I was here was look at my nephew's teary eyes when he asked me why I had to leave, and tell him goodbye, and that I loved him.  And despite the pain of leaving my family again, I'll still be leaving this place with a full warm heart.

Nice piece.

I think I know what you mean - I love my family, but I'm a Midwesterner now. I can't wait to see them, but I don't believe I'll ever move back. Which kind of sucks, but I remind them that they should come see the cool place where I live.
