<< The Ramon Is One Sexy Bitch Wanted: Other People's Money To Solve Our Problems >>
Wow

Alright... this puts me to shame.  I hope I'm half as active as she is at that age.  Go over to the Journal website and read about an amazing woman:

Thirteen years ago, she was hit by a car while riding her bicycle. The spill left her with broken eyeglasses, a cut below her left eye and a lump on her head. She told the good Samaritans at the scene she didn't need an ambulance and left. Fortunately, the chain on her bike was broken so she didn't get far and the ambulance caught up with her.

In 1987 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy. A day after coming home from the hospital, she ran 3 miles.

So imagine the chance of the 88-year-old great-grandmother following her doctor's advice when he practically forbade her from competing in a triathlon this year. "Absolutely not," he said after she had broken her leg skiing in January. With that kind of talk, he might as well have offered to take her to the race himself.
