Its amazing how you can stumble into very dangerous topics at work without realizing it at first, and yet somehow make it out clean.  I had one of those experiences today while talking with a woman at work who shall remain nameless (W@WWSRN) about Summerfest.

W@WWSRN: I used to go to Summerfest a lot when I was younger... 18, 19, 20.  It's great to go to Summerfest when you're young, because you never have to buy anything.
Me:  Well, that worked for you because you're a woman.
W@WWSRN:  Well yeah.  A guy could never pull that off.  I'd go, and all these guys would want to buy me beer and anything else.
Me:  See... this is the reason why men make more money than women. [Said jokingly... honest]
W@WWSRN: No, that's absolutely true.  Between dinners, movies, drinks, and everything else, men totally need to make more money than women.
Me: *blink*
W@WWSRN:  Of course now things have changed a little, but its still kind of taboo for women to pay.  Now if I asked a man out, then I'd pay.  But why would I ask a guy out?  It was a lot more fun to let the guy squirm and worry that I'd reject him.
