Or as my cousin likes to say... "There is a sandwich in every glass." I went to the 2nd Drinking Right last night, and had a great time. It was great to finally meet in person some really great folks, like Casper, Elliot, and even Aaron. Of course now I've realized that Casper was missing from my blogroll... but that mistake has been quickly rectified. I thought I'd make a couple comments about meeting bloggers in person for the first time.
Most of the first conversations I hear tend to have "Oh, but I blogged on that..." in them, and then they stop talking about it. Hi, I'm standing right in front of you. Talk to me as if I don't read your blog, because reading your thoughts online and talking to a person face to face are completely different. I actually prefer talking to people in person, so don't limit yourself to conversations on things you've never blogged. People tend to be more passionate about subjects when they speak. Besides, I may have read your thoughts on a particular subject, but I have a mind like a steel sieve, so I've probably forgotten your wonderful insight. I accept that about myself. This didn't happen last night by the way... I'm just pointing it out because it came to mind.
Aaron is a fool for not already being married to Kelly. Seriously dude... she's put up with you for how long now? Slap a ring on her finger before she realizes the mistake she's made. Also, nobody should be surprised that the minute Aaron got home last night, he blogged about going out with all of us. That's just wrong.
And as far as Elliot and Casper are concerned... they're not what I was suspecting... at all. That's not a bad thing mind you... because I didn't know what to expect... but they're hilarious.
