<< Delusions of Grandeur Steroids Were Just a Foot In The Door >>
A Solid Win
That's about all one can say about the Chiefs beating the Pats on Sunday. The defense performed great, with four interceptions, and quite a few hurries on Tom Brady. I don't think people realize how important those are for a defense. You don't have to sack the quarterback a lot... just get up in his face. Make him throw before routes are ready, or just make sure he can't see where he's throwing. Those are just as valuable.

The offense clicked pretty well. There were a few more three and outs than I would have liked to see (especially in the 4th quarter, giving New England a few more chances than they should have had), but overall it was solid. Red zone efficiency does need to improve. Four field goals in the first half? Half of those should have been touchdowns. Is that because Larry is in, instead of Priest? I don't see any reason why that is, because Grandmama looked great when he did get the ball. I think one place where he is underutilized is in the passing game. Maybe its simply Larry's lack of experience, but Trent seemed to get Priest the ball in the flat a lot more often than Larry Johnson.

Now then, if they can beat Denver at home next week... that will be huge. And for those who aren't that interested in the Chiefs necessarily, this week's featured cheerleader is Andrea whose childhood nickname was Little Kitty. Meeoowww.
