Don't The Iraqis Matter Katie?
I happened to catch the first 5 minutes or so of the Today Show this morning. Their opening story was this suicide bomb attack in Baghdad:

The attack would be the against a hotel housing international journalists since the Oct. 24 triple vehicle bomb attack against the Palestine Hotel, where The Associated Press, Fox News and other organizations live and work.

NBC's Mike Boettcher reported that guests at the Hamra were jolted out of their beds by the first blast at around 8:12 a.m. local time. Recalling their training, they braced in anticipation of a second explosion, which happened shortly afterwards.

Apparently no NBC employees were killed, but 8 Iraqi civilians were. When the camera cut back to Katie Couric, she said (and I'm paraphrasing)... "We're just glad that everyone there is OK." Obviously she was referring to the NBC workers in the hotel, but it still seemed pretty damned heartless. She didn't make a single comment about the 8 Iraqis who were killed, almost as if they didn't matter, or weren't even there. Just fodder for the terrorists Katie?
