Look... I didn't say much about Roberts when he was nominated... and I'm not going to say much about Harriet Miers either. It's simply way to early. The blogosphere is abuzz as usual with all sorts of wild theories, accusations of cronyism, people calling Bush spineless, and on and on. Right now I don't know much about her, and neither does anyone else. Maybe that's the point, but right now I'm like Glenn, and am underwhelmed. However... if there is a lesson to be learned from the Roberts nomination, it's that waiting to shoot your mouth off is valuable. A lot of people thought Roberts was a bad nominee... and I think based off of how he handled himself during the confirmation hearings they had to eat a little bit of crow afterwards. He certainly had a good first day in court by most accounts. Granted it was just one day... but I think a lot of people didn't even expect one good one. So I'm going to wait and see with Miers. After all, I've seen her resume, and it looks great!
