My Ventura correspondant Karen (my sister) sent me this picture of the Ventura Freeway today. Her husband Randy was stuck there for two hours, and took this picture while he was waiting for the freeway to reopen so he could get home.

On a slightly different note, it's absolutely pouring here right now... can hear it pounding on the roof. If it were only 5 degrees colder, it would probably be a blizzard. Luckily we don't have to worry about mud slides in Wisconsin.
