Yes It Is Insulting
Schwarzenegger is getting flack for referring to Democratic lawmakers in California as "Girlie-Men":

Some California legislators are angry with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger after he referred to them as "girlie-men" during a speech on Saturday. The movie star-turned-politician used the term to describe opposition Democrats he said who are too weak to stand up to unions and trial lawyers demanding changes in the governor's state budget proposal.
...
Several Democratic lawmakers say the remark was insulting to women and homosexuals. State Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez said the comment was "beneath the governor."

I have to agree with those Democrats. Demeaning women and homosexuals by comparing politicians to them is the definitely an insult. That's worse than saying that used car salesmen are girlie-men. Politicians of all people, how dare he.

Note to Self: The problem with blog posts is that sometimes they just don't convey the proper amount of sarcasm that my voice can.
