Is That a Snake Between Your Legs?
Or are you just happy to see me? Man Finds Snake in Rental Car:

(Madison) Madison Police are trying to figure out how a four-foot long bull-python snake ended up inside a rental car.

Officials tell NBC-15, a man had rented the car Saturday, and was driving it Sunday when the snake stuck its head out from under the seat. The man pulled over and called 9-1-1.

Officers were able to remove the uninjured snake, and take it to the Dane County Humane Society. Before leaving, the man told officers he expected a free car rental.

Full points to the man for actually pulling over. I think I would have opened the car door and jumped out while still in motion. This sort of thing used to happen in California all the time. You'd hear from time to time about a 10 - 15 foot Python or Boa being pulled out from someone's foundation every couple of years. Then every now and then you'd hear on the news about a snake who found its way into someone's toilet and bit them when they sat down. Believe me, you'd look before you sat for at least a couple weeks after that. People found snakes every now and then in or behind their dryers trying to keep warm in the winter. And if you were lucky enough to live in the foot hills, you might have a snake fall out of your drapes when you opened them in the morning.

Then there were the tarantulas... but that's another story.
