Kerry MIA Again
Kerry Absence Dooms Jobless Benefits Vote

A push by Senate Democrats to extend jobless benefits lost by a single vote yesterday - as their nominee-to-be, John Kerry, missed the vote while campaigning in Kentucky.
...
The bid to extend federal jobless benefits for an extra 13 weeks failed by 59-40, one short of the 60 votes needed because the cost would exceed last year's budget agreement.

As it turns out, Kerry was the only senator to miss the vote. Here John Kerry is complaining left and right about the economy, and how terrible it is for people to be unemployed right now, but when he has a chance to actually do something about it... he does absolutely nothing. And he wants to be president? All talk, no decisive action.

Once again, Kerry should resign as senator so he can campaign full time, and so that the governor of Massachusetts can appoint someone to actually represent their state. Of course Kerry will never do that, because it gives him one less way to posture and play politics.
